If you need help right now

First, the most important thing on this page: if you or someone you love is struggling, please don't wait for me. You are not alone, and the groups below can help right now, without an ounce of shame.

  • In an overdose emergency: Call 911 and give naloxone (Narcan) if you have it.

  • Need naloxone? Find it free through Live4Lali (you don’t have to be in IL - we will get you what you need) and the National Harm Reduction Coalition, or over the counter at most pharmacies.

  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988 (or chat at 988lifeline.org). You can reach 988 for a substance use crisis as well.

  • Never Use Alone: 877-696-1996 — a confidential, judgment-free overdose prevention hotline for people using alone; a trained operator stays on the line and sends help if needed. Operators have lived experience.

However, you found your way here — to book me, pitch a project, talk about the issues, or just because something on this site hit home — I'm glad you did. I read everything that comes through, even when it takes me a minute to write back. (I'm one human running a lot of things, with two kids and a serious coffee habit. Grace appreciated.)
